Award to Kopernik from Polish President Duda

On April 19, 2024, the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, during a historic visit to Vancouver as part of the 80th anniversary of the Canadian Polish Congress, recognized the work of the M. Kopernik (Nicolaus Copernicus) Foundation for its substantial contribution to the community.

Tony Jochlin, President of the Kopernik Foundation, along with Liz Narodowski, Director of the Kopernik Foundation were in attendance, representing the Kopernik Foundation during President Duda’s visit.

Tony had the privilege of accepting the Polish flag, gifted to the Foundation by President Duda, during this significant event.

50th Anniversary Gala: The Followup!

Our 50th Anniversary Gala was a success!

It was well attended by over 200 guests, including the Consul General of the Republic of Poland, representatives of Polish-Canadian organizations, family members of our Founding Directors and many long time supporters of the Kopernik Foundation.

It was a great way to celebrate the Lodge’s Golden Jubilee.

Donation of Antique Book

Kopernik Lodge 50th Anniversary Gala

It is with great pleasure to announce that the Kopernik Foundation will be hosting a Gala to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Kopernik Lodge.

Date & Time: September 30th, 2023 | 5 pm – 12 amLocation: Anvil Centre, 777 Columbia St., New WestminsterTickets: $100/personJoin us for an elegant gala with multi-course buffet dinner, cash bar, entertainment, prizes, and dancing with a live band (Emidio and Samabanas). The Gala will be held at the beautiful Anvil Centre in New Westminster, which has easy access from the skytrain as well as underground parking.

Due to the circumstances over the last couple of years, it has been some time since we have all come together to spend quality time and enjoy Polish culture.

This is a great way to reconnect with old friends and enjoy dancing to wonderful European contemporary music. We are also celebrating the new proposed Senior’s Facility at Kopernik scheduled for construction in 2024!
